  1. This is a marvelous piece that celebrates the WELKIN (vaulting of the sky) above us while also tenderly accepting the limitations of keeping our feet on the ground, the reality of gravity. I was particularly taken with your exploration of the piece as a time-based experience, for as a viewer I felt as if I was being taken on your humble journey. The moment in which I watched your feet moving and then frozen in a kind of jittery stasis was somehow shocking and scary. And then you and your viewer (me) were released back into a fluid active world where we could appreciate the small things in the city, those things that exist below the WELKIN. I saw clothing on a fire escape and a lovely rose on the ground through your eyes and I felt happy to be in this world.
